philosophy of winemaking is simple: ripe fruit, gentle handling
of the grapes, attention to detail and careful blending to produce
wines with consistency, style and elegance.
With this philosophy Jenne Baldwin has been instrumental in
development of the Plum Creek wine style. A hands-on winemaker,
she prefers to spend as much time as possible in the cellar
with our wines. She directs all aspects of wine production with
a passion for detail.
Jenne, who has a degree from Chico State University and has
taken courses at the University of California at Davis, became
Plum Creek’s winemaker in 1998.
Jenne grew up in Marin County, California, but moved to Colorado
more than 10 years ago because she wanted to live in an area
that offered abundant outdoor activities. It was an exciting
time to become involved because the Colorado wine industry was
still small and relatively young.
In her personal life Jenne is a river rafting enthusiast of
the wild rivers of the West. She also enjoys hunting and fishing.
She remains involved in the management of her family’s
aquarium, located near Portland, Oregon.
