lum Creek Winery’s vineyards are located in small farming areas at high altitudes where ideal soils, stable winters and a long, cool growing season produce wines that emphasize concentrated fruit and excellent structure.

Plum Creek owns or directly controls the production of grapes from 75 acres of vineyards in Colorado. Approximately one-half of this acreage is located in Mesa County and the remainder is in Delta County in west-central Colorado near Paonia.

Our vineyards in Mesa County are within five miles of the small farming community of Palisade, located at the mouth of DeBeque Canyon, 15 miles east of Grand Junction. All of these vineyards are within the Grand Valley American viticultural area and are situated primarily on East Orchard Mesa, a prized fruit-growing location for more than 100 years.

Redstone Vineyard, in Delta County, is situated on the easternmost extension of Sunshine Mesa, approximately six miles east of Hotchkiss and three miles west of Paonia. This vineyard is on the north edge of the valley of the North Fork of the Gunnison River in the West Elks AVA. The unique Chardonnay produced from this vineyard is intensely flavored and complex.
